My name is Spencer Knowles. I am a Registered Maine Fishing Guide. I have had an obsession with fishing ever since the first time I touched a rod.  I have spent my life experiencing what Maine's fisheries have to offer. Jigging for Haddock 40 miles offshore, night fishing for Stripers on our rocky coast, ice fishing for large Northern Pike in Central Maine, trolling for Salmon and Lake Trout on Moosehead Lake, casting to rising Brook Trout on remote ponds...If you can think of a type of fishing that Maine has available, I have probably done it. 

        I spend the majority of my fishing time from April through October with a fly rod in my hand chasing large Trout and Landlocked Salmon in some of Maine's best rivers. In 2023 I decided it was time to get my Guide license so that I could start sharing my passion with others. This was a goal of mine for many years and I always knew that as a Guide I would want to specialize in walk and wade fly fishing and light tackle spin fishing for Trout and Landlocked Salmon. This is the style of fishing that I am the most passionate about and that I do most of my guiding for. I have spent a lot of time learning these waters and the habits of these fish throughout the changing conditions of the season. 

       As your guide it is my goal to leave you with memories that will last a lifetime along with skills and knowledge that you can use in your future fishing adventures. Whether you are picking up a fly rod for the first time, you want to get your kids into fishing,  or you are a seasoned angler looking to target that fish of a lifetime, I can provide the experience you are looking for.
